One common theme I find myself talking about of late is around the subject of discipline and motivation during a fat loss phase.
And I’d like to bring a whole new perspective to you or perhaps remind you again if you already know, the facts you need to start applying.
Inevitably, most wont and that’s why we rarely see people achieving what they want & continue going backwards and forwards all of their lives.
People look at my physique now & admire the muscles and shape that are coming through and wish they had the same.
This is my advice.
✔️TRAIN WHEN YOU CANNOT BE BOTHERED. ✔️TRAIN WHEN YOU ARE EATING SHIT. ✔️TRAIN WHEN YOU AREN’T FEELING MOTIVATED. ✔️TRAIN WHEN LIFE IS STRESSFUL. ✔️AND DOCUMENT IT!!!
➕To ‘get toned’ ➕To create shape ➕To get a rounder bum ➕To reduce cellulite ➕To fix posture ➕To get a stronger core ➕To get toned arms ➕To speed up your metabolic rate
To basically achieve the goals you keep writing down each time you commence again... requires muscle & a higher level of self awareness you only get through making mistakes.
To build muscle also requires calories.
But every time you begin training again, you keep cutting them out. You cannot build muscle in the deficit you keep putting yourself in each time you start.
Use your crappy, unmotivated and stressful periods in life to your advantage.
I'm telling you, this photo on the left isn’t pretty. It was me at my lowest & heaviest state. And I’m probably very lucky that the work I did do prevented an even bigger gain - also something you need to acknowledge in your own journey.
But I know what my habits are. What my energy requirements are. What foods I gravitate towards when I’m feeling unmotivated. Everything. I know it all.
Every one needs to, at some stage, go through a building phase or a stage where your true self & habits are revealed so you can grow from it. You may as well do it when you know your heads not right so those extra calories go towards something.
You don’t need to put on a whole lot of weight like I did, but I knew last year I had a massive case of the CBFs and I needed to do at least something that future me would benefit from.
The ‘head start’ you think you’re getting from losing 5kg in 8 weeks is setting you back further than know.
