I’ve always been into health and fitness from a young age. Exercise has always been apart of my life in some way, shape or form – the difference is as I grew up, the goal for any type of exercise was to lose weight and I would do anything to achieve it.
Now as anyone knows, when you diet your head is filled with ‘do’s and don’ts’, healthy/unhealthy mentality, you learn about calories, you sign up for new challenges and after a lot of experiences – you are left with all this information that contradicts itself and have no idea what to do moving forward because you have literally tried it all.
These types of behaviours and thoughts towards food and exercise can quite easily turn into an eating disorder or disordered eating in general and I see it all to often.
It’s very sad that most of us will spend a large percentage of our day worrying about our body, judging ourselves, thinking about food/exercise in a negative way and miss out on opportunities life has to offer all because we haven’t yet been taught the tools to move passed all of that.
This is where I come in.
